Tips On Coming To See The Melbourne Cup

Do you have any idea how many people are in attendance of the Melbourne Cup each year? An astonishing 100,000 plus people are at the track for the Melbourne Cup and you know that a lot of these people are from out of town or from around the world. This is exactly why you need some good tips on coming to see the race because without some great tips you will not be able to experience the race in the way that it is meant to be seen.
Tips When Coming To Melbourne
Book Your Hotel Early - The first tip that I have for you is to simply book your hotel early. With over 100,000 people in attendance there are bound to be some full hotels and if you don't have one then you will find it rather difficult to come to the city of Melbourne for the race. My recommendation would be to book your hotel at least 2 months in advance, if not sooner.
Get There A Few Days Early - Something else you need to do is make sure you are in Melbourne with a few days to space. The reason why you should do this is because there are a lot of things going on before the big race that you might want to take part in.
Go In A Group - What I highly recommend is that you don't go to the Melbourne Cup alone, it is more fun to go in a large group. The nice thing about going in a large group is that you can sometimes get group rates on things around the city and sometimes at the track.
Have Your Betting Money Handy - This is probably one of the most fun things to do while at the track, betting. If you want to bet you need to have your money ready because there will be so much betting going on that you will want to get in on the action. Trust me, if you are not betting on the race then you are not taking part in it as well as you should be.
The last thing that you need to know when coming to see the Melbourne Cup is to simply get to the track with enough time to place your bets and get to your seat. With everything that goes on before race time you will want to get there early enough that you do not miss a single thing.
There are a lot of activities and gatherings around the facility and if you want to experience everything that the Melbourne Cup has to offer you need to get their on time.

EURO 2012 As the Greatest Event in History of Ukraine and Poland

EURO 2012 is going to be the greatest event in the modern history of both Poland and Ukraine. Both countries have never hosted European and World championships. Moreover, Ukraine have never participated in EURO while Poland made its debut at last European championship.
Very few people expected Ukraine and Poland to win the bid. Italy had very strong positions, while Hungary and Croatia had good chances as well. However, the decision was made in favor of Ukraine and Poland.
As soon as the two countries learned about this decision they initiated preparations. The key requirements of UEFA were to stadiums. Of course, Poland and Ukraine had stadiums, but very few of them complied with UEFA requirement to elite 5 star stadiums. Thus, some stadiums are undergoing (or have underwent) renovation which concern stadiums' capacity, VIP zones, seats for disabled.
Of course, the two countries have to care of infrastructure. Millions of people will come to EURO, and they need airports, quality highways, hotels, restaurants etc. Obviously, Poland is better prepared, however Ukraine is taking huge steps to copy with the tasks on time.
Currently, Ukraine and Poland are busy getting ready for EURO 2012. Some stadiums are ready (like for example, a gorgeous stadium in Donetsk) while others are being still constructed. EURO 2012 news appear in mass media every day and they mostly concerns putting into commission roads, highways, stadiums and hotels. Much needs to be accomplished, but it seems like the two counties are doing OK, which is proved by UEFA Chief Michelle Platini's recent statements (however in mid 2010 UEFA had doubts as to Ukraine capability to host EURO 2012).

5 Ways to Secure Your Facebook Account

Nobody wants to be a victim of identity theft, although anybody who has a Facebook account, and hasn't adjusted their security settings could be at real risk of this due to a number of methods identity thieves use, to enable them to see your personal settings.
However, there is no need to cancel your Facebook account yet. here are 5 tips which will take you minutes and will make your account a lot more secure.
Enable HTTPS
Enable HTTPS is one of the latest additions to Facebook, although it is not a default setting. You can adjust your privacy settings all you want, but if you are viewing Facebook over an unencrypted connection, then all your information, including your passwords could be viewed by someone else. Especially since FireSheep was released.
To change this setting go to Account > Account Settings and look for the Account Security section, and make sure the 'Secure browsing' box is ticked.
Disable Public Search
Another setting that is important when maintaining your security, is the 'public search' listings. This is the setting which sets your visibility on search engines such as Google etc. Unless you have a really good reason to be discovered, then this option should always be disabled, to help prevent people finding out enough about you from your profile, to then access other accounts you may have online.
To change this setting go to Account > Privacy Settings > APPS and Websites >Public Search > Edit Settings You want the box saying 'Enable Public Search' unticked to prevent your profile appearing on Google to anyone who searches for your name.
Disable Facebook Search
For the same reason that you should disable public search engine listings, you may also want to come off Facebook's internal search as well. You can disable this by going to Account > Privacy Settings > Connecting on Facebook > View Settings > and then changing the setting on 'Find me on Facebook ' to Friends only, or if you want to have some visibility to 'Friends of friends'
Control Your Apps
Remember all those apps and games you signed up for where you are a zombie or a farmer, or where you do a test to see which character from The Flintstones you are most like. Even if you used this app years ago and haven't been near it since, it will still be able to access reams of your personal data.
To ensure that this doesn't happen you can simply switch off all apps. You do this in Accounts> Privacy Settings > Apps and Websites > Edit Your Settings. Then you want to make sure the Turn OFF all apps button is pressed, thus blocking all the apps from using your personal data. You can also go through a list of apps carefully and allow ones that you do trust and use regularly as well, if turning off all apps seems a little extreme for you.
Remove Personal Information
You should not have any personal information visible to anyone, except those that you trust implicitly. People can use this to guess passwords, or answer security questions on 'Forgotten Password' forms to gain access to email or internet banking sites.
You have to go to Account >Privacy Settings> Sharing on Facebook and change what people can see on your profile to combat these identity thieves. Even though you may like all the birthday greetings you get, it is not a good idea to let anyone see your birthday.
If you follow all these steps then you should be as safe as it is possible to be on Facebook without actually removing yourself fully from the site.

2. Make sure that "Allow third party Flash content to store data on your computer" option is checked.
If you are talking to your friends and Facebook chat appears to be very slow or unresponsive then you should upgrade to the latest version of Firefox. To do this, perform following steps.
1. Open your web browser.
2. Visit Firefox website

It is very important to scan your computer for malicious software. In addition to it, users are unable connecting to Facebook because of Windows Registry errors causing corruption in browser. Tribute to Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 56 years. He was suffering from a rare incurable cancer of the pancreas.
But, sure, death cannot push Steve Jobs into oblivion for he has achieved immortality through his life and mission. A life dedicated to innovations with a mission to bring technology within reach of every man.
To say that he had succeeded in his mission would be an understatement of a lifetime. Beginning very humbly, struggling to make a living by selling empty coke bottles and living without a roof over his head, Steve Jobs had come a long way indeed to become the Chairman and CEO of Apple. He brought the impeccable OS, Apple McIntosh to us and later on dazzled us with the iPods, iPads and iPhones Marvelous technology at our finger tips!
Steve Jobs (1955-2011) lived a life of achievements and futuristic innovations. Money never went to his head. He rose from the penurious early days to own US$8.50 billion in assets by the time he resigned as CEO. Apple, the company he founded, made it to the Forbes list with total estimated assets worth US$400billion dollars.
Still Steve remained the same old gentleman. He was genial, soft spoken and down to earth. Money never ever made him dizzy. He remained a gentleman to the core and dedicated his life and work to his innovations. He never was satisfied with Apple. He forayed in to other areas and bought a controlling stake in Pixar, the animations company. He sure had the Midas' touch and turned everything into gold.
He left Apple at the peak but was destined to return to Apple, when they took over his new venture NeXT.
The US President Barack Obama, while paying homage to Steve Jobs, has said that in the death of Steve Jobs, the world has lost one of the leading innovators.
We can unanimously agree on the credentials of Steve Jobs, in receiving these posthumous encomiums from high places.
Here is a man who had started from scratch, painstakingly built his career brick by brick and reached the pinnacle of not only wealth but innovation and recognition.
As Bill Gates has said it is a rare honor for all those who had the great opportunity to have worked with him. He has shown us the way.
Let us move forward! Let us follow the Path!

One of the most high-tech features of the Samsung Nexus S is the integrated NFC Chip (near field communication) chip, this chip lets you use the phone to read digital tags that are already found in consumer goods such as T-Shirts and electronics. NFC technology is already popular in Japan, but yet to launch in the UK, however, when fully integrated the NFC chip will enable you to use the Nexus S almost like a credit card to purchase items from stores!

iPhone 4S: Apple Incredible

The Apple iPhone 4S was launched Tuesday, October 4, 2011 and has the dual-core A5 chip which delivers much more power. The iPhone 4S is going to be for sale in black and white. The upgraded camera alone might be worth an iPhone 4S upgrade for a few, but Siri will be the killer feature that has the potential to change the way we interact with our devices.
While iPhone 4S is the 5th generation iPhone, it's only the 3rd major casing design in the product's history. Apple iPhone 4s will be the latest phone from Apple. Apple is rolling out the iPhone 4S gradually, although not as gradually as it did earlier models. The A5 chip will make graphics seven times speedier and deliver twice the processing power. Apple definitely borrowed heavily from Android notifications, and then expanded on what they could do. Apple today is among the world's most profitable companies, as the stock price continues to prove.
The upgraded camera alone might be worth an iPhone 4S upgrade for some, but Siri will be the killer feature which has the possibility to change the way we interact with our devices. Schiller emphasized the iPhone 4S's virtual shutter speed. The iPhone 4S can take its first picture in 1 second. The new and improved camera promises crisper, brighter pictures, thanks to the 8-megapixel sensor. Features like better white balance, faster photo capture, and less shaky video recording courtesy of the "video stabilization" feature.
Siri? That appears to be the most incredible thing I'll use. Siri is a personal assistant for the iPhone 4S that goes past responding to simple commands. Siri is unique in the fact that you are able to ask it familiar, natural language questions like "show me movie theaters in the area" and it will return a real, readable answer and a list sorted by proximity. Siri can do a huge number of things, from sending texts and emails to finding restaurants and obtaining directions from one place to another - things that could largely be done before by voice on other devices and platforms, but now you can do it from the palm of your hand.
iPhone 4S
iPhone 4S is going to be Apple's remedy to Android's increasing domination of the mid-end and low-end cost ranges. Although the iPhone 4S sports a quicker processor and an upgraded camera, and the feature that everyone will be discussing is Siri. The iPhone 4S will be available in both black and white.

The Top Ten Best Champions League Finals Ever

Over the years the UEFA Champions League has captured the attention of the world, and the eagerly anticipated finals have caused both endless joy and agonising heartache for millions of football fans. With the UK gearing up to host a record 6th final at Wembley Stadium, let's take a trip down memory lane and look at the 10 best Champions League finals ever:
1. Liverpool 3: AC Milan 3 (3:2 penalties)
2005
This epic battle in Istabul's stadium was the undisputed greatest final in recent Champions League history. AC Milan managed to get an early 3-0 lead, but the second half saw Liverpool score 3 goals within 15 minutes to force the final to extra time and eventually penalties.
2. Real Madrid 7: Frankfurt 3
1960
This final is considered to be one of the greatest football matches of all time and saw two Real Madrid players achieve hat tricks to win the club's fifth Cup title in a row, a record yet to be broken.
3. Real Madrid 2: 1 Bayer Leverkusen
2002
Real Madrid's 9th European title came in Glasgow, as Zinedine Zidane and Roberto Carlos teamed together to produce one of the greatest goals in history to take the lead against Bayer Leverkusen.
4. Manchester United 2: Bayern Munich 1
1999
The first-ever English treble was achieved by one of the greatest comebacks in football ever. In extra time, David Beckham twice managed to coax the ball from his adidas football boots into perfect placement for strikers Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær to score.
5. Porto 2: Bayern Munich 1
1987
Porto battled for 90 minutes to prevent Bayern Munich from clinching their fourth title, and took it home themselves for the first time. Both goals came late in the game; Rabah Madjer scoring in the 78th minute and Juary sealing the deal 2 minutes later.
6. Porto 3: Monaco 0
2004
Both Monaco and Porto entered the final as underdogs, and it was the first time that a well-known Italian, English or Spanish club didn't win. Porto's win cemented Jose Mourinho's reputation as 'The Special One.'
7. Benfica 5: Real Madrid 3
1962
The first time Real Madrid lost the Cup Final was to defending champions Benefica. In a thrilling 5-3 match, with the Portuguese attackers broke down the Spanish defense in the second half.
8. Celtic 2: Inter Milan 1
1967
The Scottish boys deserve a place on this list, with Celtic becoming the first British champions 1 year before Man U, with an incredible 2-1 victory in Lisbon against Inter Milan. Winning both the Scottish Football league and Scottish Cup in the same season, they also became the first European club to complete the treble.
9. Manchester United 4: Benfica 1
1968
Manchester United were the first English club to win the Cup title, beating Portuguese side Benfica with 3 goals in extra time at Wembley. With Bobby Charlton putting his team up 1-0 in the 53rd minute, he again scored in the first 10 minutes of extra time, with George Best and Brian Kidd also putting one each in the back of the net.
10. Marseille: 1 AC Milan 0
1993
The first year of the current Champions League format, 1993 saw only the first (and last) French team to win the title. In a match against AC Milan, Marseille managed to slip in the only goal at the 44th minute.
